Christmas at Aunt Penny's

We drove to Dave's aunt's place in Cedar Springs, Michigan.  The food was great.  It was nice seeing everyone and the kids had a great time with new presents.  As usual, Uncle Jim tormented Isaac, and he loved it :)

Freezing rain started on our way home, so the drive home took about 4 hours.  The first hour was rough, Miles was crying and we had to find a remote gas station to stop at.  After that, all the kids fell asleep and it was a quiet ride.

Matching pajamas!

Hannah loved the dolly with matching pajamas from Aunt Patsy.

Miles went shopping with Melissa and her mom all day!  He was great.  He took several naps on the stroller.

Hannah's first haircut

Karen 's cousin Brenda, came to our house to give the kids haircuts.  Hannah was really scared, but did great.  I wasn't sure how it would look, but I think it's adorable!

Ternet cousin Thanksgiving

We had some of the Ternet cousins over for tacos tonight.  Jami, Wes, Amy, Jon, Adam, Amber and many kids made it.  It was so nice to catch up.  I think we've decided to try this every year!  Hannah and Aleta were pals.

Ready to go Trick-or-Treating!

Isaac and Hannah were so excited about Halloween! Unfortunately, the weather was horrible, rainy and cold. So, we decided to go trick-or-treating at Glenbrook Mall. Dave's dad and his friend, Karen, came down to go with us. It was quite crazy and busy at the mall, but the kids got candy and Miles slept the whole time in his stroller. When Isaac and Hannah started getting tired, we went to Panera for dinner. It turned out really well :)

Swimming at Cherry Hill

Tom came over today to help Dave prepare our house for the wood floors coming next week.  The kids love swimming, so Melissa and Tom took them swimming at Cherry Hill after school.  Hannah loved swimming with a noodle!  Isaac found a frog in the filter of the pool.  We told a lifeguard, who freed the frog.  Dave and Marna joined us to go out to dinner after swimming.

Visiting Great-Grandma

Grandma McNeal is in a nursing home in New Haven after a fall.  We stopped by for a visit.  She enjoyed showing Isaac and Hannah around.  Afterwards, we went to Dairy Queen.  The kids ate great and enjoyed their Dilly Bars!

Hannah loves salsa!

We go to Bandido's a lot and Hannah loves it.  Well, actually, she loves the salsa.  She starts out by dipping chips in the salsa, but usually ends up just scooping the salsa into her mouth!  Chica loca!

Isaac's first day of kindergarten!

Isaac started kindergarten today at St. Elizabeth.  He was really excited to take his backpack and lunch box.  We are so excited about how much he will learn and how much fun he will have.  He's in Miss Kostoff's class at St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth.

Isaac loved T-ball!

Isaac played T-ball this year at the Jorgensen YMCA.  This was the first time he played games.  They had practice for the first half-hour, then they played a couple innings against another team.  All the kids got to bat and run around the bases, and they didn't keep score.  It was the perfect introduction to baseball, I think.

The first week, Isaac wasn't very excited to go and was very shy, as we expected.  However, when we got there, he ran out there to his coach and did everything they told him to do.  He loved practicing in our backyard and got a lot better this summer.  Of course, his favorite part every week was the snack at the end.  When the season ended, they all got a medal :)
