San Francisco Day 3 - Heading Home

San Francisco Day 3 - Pier 39

A trip to San Francisco is not complete without visiting the Pier 39 seals.  They were amazing!  So many of them, just chillin'.  Isaac wasn't very impressed, but the rest of us couldn't get enough.  We had some coffee and snacks on the Pier and then headed to the hotel to pack up.

San Francisco Day 3 - Fisherman's Wharf

For our last morning in San Francisco, we walked down Fisherman's Wharf for some final sight-seeing.  We saw Alcatraz Island (from a distance), Boudin Bakery, and some other great entertainment.  Isaac loved just playing with his new cable car souvenier.

San Francisco Day 2 - Golden Gate Park

We got off the bus tour at Golden Gate Park because we heard there was a great playground there.  However, it took us almost an hour to walk through the park and find the playground.  It was well worth it because it was the highlight of the entire trip for Isaac.

San Francisco Day 2 - The Golden Gate Bridge

We took a bus tour around San Francisco.  The first stop was the Golden Gate Bridge.  It was a windy trip on the top of the bus, but the views were worth it.  Definitely the most beautiful spot in all of San Francisco.

San Francisco Day 2 - Chinatown and Cable Car

We got off the tour bus near Chinatown and visited the fortune cookie factory.

As you can see, some of the streets in SF are extremely steep!  We underestimated the difficulty in pushing a stroller up certain blocks.  We were thrilled when we finally caught the cable car to get back to our hotel at the wharf!
Isaac loved the cable car (choo choo train) and kept saying "ding, ding, it's time to go!".

View of Lombard Street from the cable car.

First Night in San Francisco

For our first evening in San Francisco, we had dinner on the wharf.  We got a very small table by the window and thought it would be rather cramped.  However, it gave us a great view of the water where a seal was swimming among the boats.  It was great dinner entertainment!

Day 4 - One Final View of Yosemite

On the way out, we stopped at once last viewpoint for a farewell to Yosemite and some final photos.

Day 4 - Packing Up

Before leaving, we had to collect a couple of the huge pinecones to take home.
They were amazing!

Grandpa did a great job watching Isaac and Andrew while the rest of us packed up and cleaned up the house.  A few last pictures of our house and the many, many stairs.  So sad to leave, but excited to move on to part 2 of our vacation--San Francisco.
