Took Isaac to ER with the croup

After we got home from the arboretum, Isaac started coughing and it was a really strange sounding cough. We thought he was just really tired, so we tried to put him down for a nap. He couldn't sleep well and kept waking up. We took his temperature and it was 103! After a call to pediatrician, we were off to the ER at Loyola. They said that he had croup, gave him Tylenol and a steroid nebulizer treatment. It was a little scary, but he was back to normal quickly.

The Morton Arboretum

We got free passes to the Morton Arboretum (http://www.mortonarb.org/) from the Forest Park Library, and it was a beautiful day! Isaac loved the children's area. There were fountains, flowers, tunnels, playgrounds, musical instruments. We were there for hours, but probably saw less than 1/10 of the garden. We can't wait to go back sometime.

Last Weekend at the Pool

We all had so much fun at the pool this summer. At the beginning of the summer, Isaac wasn't too sure about it, but then he started to love it. We were so sad that the summer was over and the pool was closing. Can't wait til Memorial Day 2010!
