Isaac's Godparents

We are so happy that Denny and Vivian agreed to be Isaac's godparents and traveled to Chicago from California to be at the Baptism. We know that Isaac is very blessed to have them in his life, and we had a wonderful weekend with them!

Isaac's Baptism

Isaac's all dressed up for his big day! Melissa's mom with Isaac.

Father John included Andrew in the ceremony, asking him to help him bless the water.
Just after the Baptism. Isaac cried when Fr. John poured water over his head.

More zoo photos!

The Lincoln Park Children's Zoo had some water sprinklers. It was a great way to cool off and the kids really loved it. Melissa's nephew, Xander, had a blast!
Here's Andrew and Xander (background) having fun!
Melissa's brother-in-law, Brian, takes Fancy, his daughter, for a walk in the water.
After a great day at the zoo--what a postcard photo! From left--Melissa's dad, Tom, holding Isaac, Dave, Denny, Vivian, and Andrew is in front.

Many, many visitors and a day at the zoo!

Melissa's brother, Denny, and his wife, Vivian, and son, Andrew, visited from California. The rest of Melissa's family from Fort Wayne and Dave's parents also came for the weekend. We all went to the Lincoln Park Zoo for the day. It was beautiful weather and a great day!
Here's Melissa's sister, Trisha, and her daughter, Fancy, looking cool!
Dave's mom, Doris, is giving Isaac a bottle, while Andrew watches.
Fancy got really sleeping/cranky when Trish and Brian went to get lunch, so Dave tried rocking her to sleep--he must remind her of Brian because it worked!
We all enjoyed a break in between visiting all the animals. Melissa's mom, Karen, and brother, Denny, are standing. Andrew and Vivian are on the blanket.

Much needed relaxation

While at the cottage, we took advantage of time to do nothing! It was so nice to just lay in the yard and unwind. We may have to make this an annual event. I think Lincoln and Isaac both enjoyed it as much as Dave and I did.

Fun in Lake Michigan!

We went to the beach and had a great time. Chris and Dave had a great time in the waves, and Meredith loved playing in the sand! Isaac slept most of the time, but put his feet in briefly. I can't believe summer's almost over. It just flew by. I guess we were a little busy :).

Our first family vacation

We rented a cottage for the weekend in Lakeside, MI. Dave's cousin, Beth, and her husband, Chris, and daughter, Meredith, came and spent Sunday with us. Isaac and Meredith got along very well!

Isaac and Lincoln

Don't they make a cute pair? They're starting to check each other out more and more. Just wait until Isaac gets on the move--Lincoln won't know what to do!

Look at those legs go!

Isaac really loves his playmat and has learned to really shake the heck out of the toys with his legs! He's so fun to watch!

Starting to roll over!

Isaac is starting to try to roll over. He gets about half way and then gets stuck, but he's very close!

Isaac's first White Sox game!

The White Sox lost to Detroit, but we had a great time! Isaac was trying to take a nap most of time and the cheers kept waking him up, so he was quite cranky by the end of the night. Grandpa, he's a true White Sox fan now, so when are you taking him to his second game?
We went to the game with our friends/neighbors, Austin and Beth and their daughter, Avery. Avery is less than a week younger than Isaac, so we think they're going to be great friends!

Fast asleep . . .

Isaac loves to sleep in his carseat, even at home! We got home from running errands and didn't want to disturb him. Isn't he adorable in his jeans and T-shirt?

Bathtime is so fun!

We're not sure if Isaac enjoys baths or not. Most of the time he seems either in shock or really relaxed. The littlest thing, though, can start the tears. Then, we just speed it up and get it over with!! Bathtime makes for the best pictures!!
