We finally had a late birthday party for Isaac in Fort Wayne. Melissa's mom, dad, Marna, and Grandma Ternet came to her mom's house for hamburgers, fries, cake and ice cream. Isaac loved his Thomas the Train cake. His favorite gifts were his Mr. Potato Head, lawnmower, and new bike! It was sprinkling outside, but very difficult to get Isaac off his new bike.
We plan to have a small party with Dave's family later in the summer as well. Two parties are definitely better than one!
We went to the Indy 500 again with Adam and Amber. Melissa's mom watched Isaac Saturday night and all day Sunday while we headed to Indy. It was a great (and much needed) get away. The race was very exciting, and it was all about having enough gas to win it! This was the 2nd time out of 3 races that we've seen Dario Franchitti win. I guess he knows what he's doing. Adam and Amber were, once again, amazing hosts, and we had a great visit with them. It was an incredibly hot day, but luckily our seats were shaded and cool.
