Our Baby Halloween Party

Isaac (as a dragon) with Melissa and Owen (as a monkey) with his mom, Kristie.
Sara and Emil and their son, Max. He was dressed as Yoda, but the costume came off shortly after they arrived, as most of the babies were quite warm and uncomfortable in the costumes.

Owen and Evie (as Elmo) with their moms, Kristie and Sara.

Amelia (as a pumpkin) having some fun on the floor.

We have met several families around us with babies that are close to Isaac's age. We all wanted to dress the babies up for Halloween, but didn't really have anywhere to go. So, Melissa made some chili and pumpkin cupcakes for a party. It was so fun seeing all the babies, even though the costumes didn't last very long. We also enjoyed catching up with the other adults. We'll have to do this again sometime soon! Happy Halloween!

4 more teeth!

Isaac started getting 4 more teeth--all in a row on top--this weekend! No wonder he's been a little cranky.

Grandma and Grandpa Dempsey Visit

Dave's parents visited for the weekend. Melissa had to go to a conference in LA, so they helped Dave take care of Isaac. Doris got to give Isaac his bath and help feed him. It looks like they all had a great weekend! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!

The Pumpkin Farm

We took Isaac to Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm in North Barrington to get some good photos. Doris sent him a cute outfit that was perfect for the day. We had carmel apples and bought Isaac his first pumpkin!

MSU at Northwestern football

It was a beautiful Saturday--80 degrees and sunny, so we got tickets to the Northwestern/MSU football game. The seats were great and State killed the Wildcats. Isaac got pretty tired of the sun by the 4th quarter, so we left early, but it was a great day!

Isaac's first cereal!

Isaac enjoyed his first rice cereal. After sleeping 12 hours every night for over a month, Isaac started waking up in the middle of the night last week to eat. So, we decided to start some some cereal slightly before he turned 6 months old. He seemed to enjoy it and the nights definitely got better!

Go White Sox!

Melissa's dad, Tom, his girlfriend, Marna, Trish, Brian, and their kids all came to town for the weekend. We saw the White Sox play the Indians. They lost, but we saw a few home runs and some great fireworks after the game. Isaac loved the fireworks!

Bowling for CdLS

Melissa is on the Clinical Advisory Board for the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation. So, we all went bowling with some of Melissa's coworkers to raise money for a little girl around Chicago with CdLS. That's Isaac's friend Owen that he's reaching out to.
Can I have some, Daddy?

Isaac's first MSU football game

We took Isaac to see his first MSU football game with Dave's parents. Unfortunately, it rained all weekend long, so we didn't actually go to the game. Hopefully, we'll have better weather next time!
We ended up watching the game at Dave's Aunt Dardi's house. Thanks, Dardi, for letting us hang out!

Isaac's first teeth!

Isaac got his first two bottom teeth today! He's only 4 1/2 months old, so it's a little on the early side. I need to try and get a photo of them. They're so cute!

Isaac's Godparents

We are so happy that Denny and Vivian agreed to be Isaac's godparents and traveled to Chicago from California to be at the Baptism. We know that Isaac is very blessed to have them in his life, and we had a wonderful weekend with them!

Isaac's Baptism

Isaac's all dressed up for his big day! Melissa's mom with Isaac.

Father John included Andrew in the ceremony, asking him to help him bless the water.
Just after the Baptism. Isaac cried when Fr. John poured water over his head.

More zoo photos!

The Lincoln Park Children's Zoo had some water sprinklers. It was a great way to cool off and the kids really loved it. Melissa's nephew, Xander, had a blast!
Here's Andrew and Xander (background) having fun!

After a great day at the zoo--what a postcard photo! From left--Melissa's dad, Tom, holding Isaac, Dave, Denny, Vivian, and Andrew is in front.
