The Morton Arboretum

We got free passes to the Morton Arboretum (http://www.mortonarb.org/) from the Forest Park Library, and it was a beautiful day! Isaac loved the children's area. There were fountains, flowers, tunnels, playgrounds, musical instruments. We were there for hours, but probably saw less than 1/10 of the garden. We can't wait to go back sometime.

Last Weekend at the Pool

We all had so much fun at the pool this summer. At the beginning of the summer, Isaac wasn't too sure about it, but then he started to love it. We were so sad that the summer was over and the pool was closing. Can't wait til Memorial Day 2010!

Isaac's Last Day with our Nanny, Angie

Our nanny, Angie, did lots of fun things with Isaac all summer. However, in September, Angie is starting a new job with Southwest Airlines and Isaac will be starting daycare at Concordia. We are really excited about Isaac starting Concordia, but sad to see Angie go. Isaac really loved her, and they had so much fun together. Hopefully, she will still be able to babysit occasionally.

Our cousins and great friends, Adam and Amber, visited again this weekend. We had fun playing with Isaac and a great cookout with Margaritas. We got a babysitter on Saturday night, so we could all go to a White Sox game. It was an amazing night out and a great time to catch up.

Lake Weekend in Cassopolis!

Our friends, Kelly and Merlin, invited us to Kelly's parents' lakehouse in Cassopolis, MI with 3 other couples and 4 total toddlers. It was an amazing weekend and we are so grateful for their hospitality. The kids played during the day and the adults played after the kids were tucked in.

Visiting Grandma McNeal on the 4th of July

Grandma gave Isaac a 4th of July Bear. He loved checking out her yard and all the interesting things in her house while Daddy hooked up Grandma's new digital converter for her television.

Cookout and Fireworks in Fort Wayne with the Ternets

Melissa's cousin, Jasmine, had a cookout for the 4th of July. It was great hanging out with all the Ternet cousins and watching the kids play together. After a great dinner, we took Isaac back to Melissa's moms and returned to watch the fireworks. Grandma put Isaac to bed while we had some beers and hung out longer with our great cousins.
